Hello, my name is John Johnson—and I do stuff.
I know that sounds like a cop-out, but this space exists so I can be a little random, a lot encouraging, and hopefully inspiring, without needing a dozen different platforms. First and foremost, I’m a follower of Jesus. I believe my calling is to connect with people, inspire them, and ultimately point them toward Him. How do I do that? Well… through stuff, of course.
I live in Columbia, Missouri with my beautiful wife, Haley, and our three kids: Savannah, Oliver, and Ivy.
I’m a former pastor of CenterPoint Church, and even though I no longer carry the official title of “pastor,” at a church, I firmly believe pastoring is a posture of the heart, not a position or a name tag. I’m also employed at Columbia College in the Technology Services Department, focusing on cybersecurity—pretty random and pretty cool, right?
I also run a faith-based cybersecurity blog at shepherdsecurity.net, where faith and cybersecurity collide in meaningful ways. I highly recommend checking it out if that combination sounds even a little intriguing to you.
Welcome to my corner of the internet.
